Pros and cons of Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary app for iPhone and iPad

Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary app good for

Ive been using it for a year and got what I expected of the publisher.
This is by far the best English dictionary app Ive ever tried. The search function is so well done that you can search words, expressions, and even examples. Both American and British Pronunciations are integrated. Its the perfect tool to learn English!
so far this is the best english dictionary app that i have never used ...
Nice Dict. and simple to use. It is in your hands whenever you need. It wont take 5 stars because its price.
Sometimes the meaning just vanish! Now the sound do not sound! Only if I put the earphones!
There is no question. This is one of the best if not the best English dictionary out there. There is, however, a huge drawback in my opinion. I cant select and copy definitions of phonetics symbols there are so important when we want to explain how to pronounce certain words. I wish I could select, copy and paste some words and sentences just like I do with other dictionaries.

Some bad moments

this a my favourite app and i use it the most often on my iPad and iPhone , but there is a problem with the latest update , the volume of the sound is too low , i use an iPhone 4 … so i uninstalled this update and i re-installed the older version … please fix this bug ...
Your version 9 is brilliant ! You have deleted version 8 and we have to pay for version 9. Youve cheated us.
There are several error with this app. NOT WORK..... fix it...
Right after the updating, the dictionary simply does no work. One is supposed to buy the new version.
I downloaded the app just to find out that it presents a few entries for free. If you want the real OALD you have to pay 30 buckets. Its gotta be some kind of joke.
Downloaded version 9, after purchasing version 8. Supposedly it was an update, right? Wrong: what it did was erase version 8 and try to push me to buy the dictionary again. Cannot use the app anymore. No need to say how disappointed I was to see I could no longer use the dictionary Ive puchased. Supposedly I can reinstall version 8, so good luck for me on that. So long for bona fide, now we are all about the money, no matter what, is that it? Certainly there will be lawyers to say this is perfectly legal. Such is the way things are going. When Apple and Cambridge feel it is OK to behave like that you start to wonder how far down the road weve gotten. What a shame... Oh, and sorry for any typos, you see, I couldnt use the dictionary...
