The list of "preview" words in the free version fits on a single screen. $30 is reasonable to cover production costs of a bound dictionary, but is an exorbitant price to pay to avoid seeing adverts on an online resource. Or use wiktionary.org; no ads there.

Seriously, just make a $10-15 annual donation to the WikiMedia project, and use Wikipedia and Wiktionary with a clear conscience.
