Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary App Reviews

Thiss an excellent dictionary application. Thesaurus is good but itd be better if able to jump from thesaurus like we can do from the main page. Pleaseeee!!!

as we know, there are two OALDs in the store. this one is the one you should choose. Trust the original editors! though glitches like low sound volume exists, though cannot jump from words to words at some places(i.e. at thesaurus section or example bank), these are definitely temporary errors, and should be solved soon enough. but the real sound files,( words and sentences,both US or UK), the word origin, the thesaurus, extra example banks, these features are key and will not be found on the other app from other companies. Additionally, these word banks may probably be updated since it is Oxfords own brand. Trust me, choose this one you will not regret. problems for now 1 sound ( sometimes too low to hear, sometimes normal, obviously a system glitch) 2 cannot jump at thesaurus section etc 3 other minor things; /switching from my view mode to normal mode: not smooth, positions dont match. i.e. my view to the phrase part of the word, when switched to normal mode, it is not starting with the desired phrase part. though not perfect, way better than other OALD apps. Trust the real one, original one.

Longman を初めとして複数の英英辞書を持ってますが、iOS のアプリでは、現状一番良くできていると思います。phrase of verb や idiom で容易に引けるのでストレスがないです。

I had been pretty happy with this, However, the current version seems to be too frustrating. with iPad4, the response in typing is terrible. the company should immediately fix this problem.

This dictionary is satisfactorily useful. I use this every day. But I want you to adapt the app design to iOS 7 version. The design is not cool any more for me.

Activation speed is so slow that users are getting frustrated. Need improvement on this,

My Oxford dictionary was updated from 8th to 9th automatically. But I cant purchase 9th or get 8th now. They dont feel like do anything? This App sucks as hell.

共有（share）から検索してもほとんど not found....理由は動詞の変化を認識出来ないから 全く使い物にならない。

Its misleading to offer it "for free" when its not.

Thank you for developing this OALDs app. Simple definition, word origin, etc. are very useful to me. I ask a favor. I use the app in japanese iOS and have added Japanese & Englsh to the list of available keyboards. But when I try to enter a word, Japanese kyeboard is usually activated. Since the app can recognize English only, the issue is unconvenient. I hope that you enable us to activate English keybord first on the app. Im looking forward to the update.

I updated 1.2.1. Then I removed all audio. Then re-downloaded all audio. But now I cant hear anything when I touched the audio symbols. Help?

There is not a sound control option in the settings menu

There is some problems with sound!!!! Get rid of this plz!!!

I bought Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary some time ago and everything was perfect. Today I wanted to check a word and Im not allowed to use my dictionary until I update it for 6 euros!! I dont want to pay more!! You should have informed the users that the initial price guarantees using the app only until the new edition!!

Its even better than Cambridges Dictionary!

Its great for everbody who learns english!

It is really what do everyone who leans English needs. Giant base of words and phrases, variations of pronunciation, you can find anything there! But what I wish we will see in later versions: - opportunity to open some wordlists: irregular verbs, The Oxford 3000, etc. - some thematical wordlists, for example, about human body parts, sport, music, etc.

Landscape mode doesnt work properly. Thank you for such a good app!

The sounds is very low! Please fix it.

First I had liked this application very much, then I upgraded it and sounds become unbelievable low. Pls fix it I can use properly!
