Why does it cost more than is announced here?

This dictionary IS NOT FOR THE ROOKIES, as it was said!!! The dictionary is dedicated for vocabulary of so called "general English" , id est, for reference to the range of words used in the everyday life, unlike the professional usage. Mother father! Should some need for technical reference occurred to you, feel free to use specialized dictionaries, that s all! You may look like a professional, but one you are not! MAY YOU DO NOT MAKE WAVES!!!

One of the best English dictionary, but after last update it not correct work with PEU. PLEASE, FIX IT!

Please introduce a split view. Also when I want to look up a word in Safari through share function and choose this dictionary, for some reason it works only with the words that have a thesaurus entry (i.e. synonyms). For simple words that contain only the definition the window that pops up is blank. Pls fix it as well. In all other respects the app is great. As soon as these improvements are added, I will change the rating to 5 stars

After the app automatically upgraded itself it offers either to buy a new edition or retrieve the previous version. I dont want to buy the new, but when I try to download the content of the previous edition, a error pops-up. I cant use the app now. Your upgrade made things much worse!

There is no point in the last update of OALD!!!!!

I sorted it out by installing iOS9.2 beta. Looks like there is something wrong on Apple side with iOS 9.1. Wait till 9.2 or intall beta to handle this. The new 9th edition of OALD is completely new and looks better and simplier than OALD8 which looks "old" to me now. Fair 80% discount is a sweet offer for buyers of orginal version. I am almost certain its a must have update.

I bought 8ed several years ago. Recently I paid to update it to 9ed. The download was not completed (I had enough space on my iPhone). Now I cannot nether restore 8ed or use 9ed. It asks me to buy the full version again. Therefore I lost all my favourites, I lost money I paid for 8ed and for update to 9ed. I wrote to support few week ago and did not receive any answer. It is the worst service I have ever seen.

Whenever I launch the app and I dont have 3G or wifi on, there is a pop up window with an error "Cant connect to iTunes Store". Please, fix it. And: I would appreciate if you could add split view

I downloaded the app back in 8 version as things stand now it was updated to version of the dictionary 9. Now thats the good part I like the interface and everything, sadly the bad things start to happen. As I try to search for a word I fail because it tells me to buy the full version which I already had in version 8. It also erased all of my favourites. That is just unbelievable. Awful guys just unbelievable. So would you like to fix this awful bug which made lose my access to translate difficult words offline

Thank you for the most comprehensive and beautiful dictionary app that I have ever used. It is amazing! However, it does lack one important (to me) feature. I would really like to see my favourites synchronised between devices, and I hope you will consider adding this feature some time in the future.

OALD stopped to work after update. Asking for more money!!!

The app is excellet, but its impossible to download audio-samples :(

When I tapped button "buy full version" in app, an alert view says that there is some failure to connect to iTunes Store

The App doesnt allow to maintain a synchronized list of favorites on 2 devices as iPad and iPhone you can own: very bad, considering its very high price.

I think this dictionary is worth its weight in gold. It provides comprehensive definitions, plus example sentences, and it also comes with extra features such as collocations, word origins and some grammar notes. Very valuable resource for those who are preparing for IELTS and TOEFL exams. Thanks OALD Team!
